Nell Make Comeback with Full-Length Album and Concerts
On April 10th one of this year’s most anticipated releases saw the light of the day as Nell released their first album since 2008. Counting as their fifth or seventh full-length album (depending on who’s doing the maths) Slip Away offers ten brand new tracks recorded in Seoul and New York, a work that could be followed through a series of video clips uploaded to Nell’s YouTube channel. The album was mastered in London by John Davis who has previously worked with bands like Snow Patrol and R.E.M.
A music video for album lead track “그리고 남겨진 것들 (The Day Before)” was released the same day as the album and the accompanying info revealed Nell’s Kim Jongwan together with Asher Park were responsible for the string arrangement of the song.
Slip Away has already received good reviews from allkpop and McRoth’s Residence. The album is available on iTunes, but if you like to try before you buy DFSB Kollective offer 90 second samples of all songs on the album.
The first out of Nell’s two comeback concerts The Lines was held yesterday and clips showing the band performing their new songs have already made their way onto YouTube thanks to Kingcoj. Here are “Go” and “In Days Gone By”, both songs currently positioned in the upper half of Billboard’s K-Pop Hot 100 chart.
Here are “Standing in the Rain” and “Beautiful Stranger”:
